Crude oil sludge consists a mixed proportion of Oil, Solids, salts and Water. This thick residue accumulates at the bottom of oil tanks of refineries, storage tanks, etc. and leads to failure of multiple systems which also includes exit pipeline blockages, reduced storage capacity, slow the flow of medium, accelerated corrosion, etc. Planned maintenance for oil tank cleaning and sludge removal are highly necessary to prevent any loss during the operation. During the maintenance the following residues are eliminated:

  • Water
  • Sand and Dirt
  • Salts and Scale
  • Waxes, etc

LITECO has always followed internationally recommended safety standards, work methodology, QA/QC, Project Execution Plan, etc. to minimize the shut down time allotted by the end user thereby maximizing the work done to be highly effective in restoring the tankage back to its hazard- free and safe state.

Oil tank maintenance includes

  • Isolation of valves.
  • De-energizing the tank.
  • Grit Blasting inside the tank.
  • Cleaning the tank using hydrojetting with degresing process.
  • Extract sludge & other contaminants and transport the same to assigned processing areas.
  • Inspection of base plate, valves, Pipelines, etc.
  • Abrasive blasting & Painting.
